Tomorrow, we will be completing a technology inventory. Please ensure that all technology has been returned from home. Our goal is to make sure all students have a working Chromebook. We will check the inventory list, and if your student was issued a Chromebook and has misplaced it, there will be a charge on their account. If your student has a Chromebook at home, please bring it so we can complete an inventory and return them to the students. Good Evening Falcon Families Because of continued isolated icy roads as well as slick and dangerous parking lots and sidewalks, we will be closed on Thursday, February 13th. Thursday evening parent/teacher conferences that were scheduled for tomorrow evening will be rescheduled for next Thursday, February 20, from 5-8pm. Subject: Important Updates for Falcon Families Good Evening Falcon Families, Thank you for an amazing week. Please ensure your student has turned in their Chromebook (Technology) for inventory. We need all technology by Thursday, February 7, 2025. Students will be allowed to dress out on Thursday, February 7, 2025, for the cost of $1.00. Please discuss with your students that all phones must be turned in daily and cannot be kept inside lockers or backpacks. Lastly, all students are required to have a clear backpack by Monday, February 10, 2025. Good Evening Millwood Arts Academy Families, I would like to say thank you for making sure your students were at school and focused on their work and completing the Reading NWEA Testing Session. Tomorrow we will be completing the 8th-grade portion of the Reading Test. Tomorrow, students will be allowed to dress out for $1.00. Please, no holes in pants and no Crocs or slides. If your student needs a coat please reach out to the front office so we can make sure your student is provided a coat to stay warm during this cold season. Last, we will have 7th graders on campus this Friday, January 24, 2025. The time will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Thank you for all of your support.

Attention Falcon Families: We are aware of a disturbing picture circulating on social media. While we understand how concerning this may be, we want to assure you that our investigation has found no direct threat to Millwood High School or any schools in our district. During our investigation, we determined that the picture was originally uploaded by a student who does not attend Millwood High School. Additionally, another individual, whom we have not yet identified, screenshotted the picture and added a caption about not wanting to come to school. Since safety is our top priority, we take every precaution daily to protect our students and staff. As an extra step, we have notified district security and local law enforcement. Our safety measures will continue tomorrow and every day. Thank you for your partnership as we work together to keep our Falcon Family safe. Good Evening Falcon Families, Happy New Year! It feels great to be back with our Falcons. This week was filled with purpose and drive towards our goals. We completed the Math portion of the NWEA Test and will be focusing on the Reading portion next week. Tomorrow, we hope to see all 6th Graders on campus from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Transportation will be provided for our students who normally ride the buses. Focus Fridays for the remainder of January are as follows: January 17, 2025 (6th Grade) January 24, 2025 (7th Grade) January 31, 2025 (8th Grade) The year 2025 marks a new beginning for everyone, and we will need your continued support to help our students stay focused on their education. Class disruptions of any kind will not be tolerated. Phones will not be a distraction throughout the school year. We think highly of our students and their chances to do amazing things within the community, but education must remain their primary focus.
